Job Opportunity: Toddler Teacher at Harvest Children's Academy

Are you passionate about nurturing the earliest stages of a child's development in a faith-based environment? Harvest Children's Academy is seeking a dedicated and caring Toddler Teacher to join our team of early childhood educators.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience in early childhood education, with a strong understanding of Developmentally Appropriate Practice (DAP) and experience in creating and implementing Creative Curriculum lesson plans.

Position Details:

As a Toddler Teacher, you'll have the unique opportunity to guide and inspire our youngest learners during their crucial developmental years. Your warmth, patience, and commitment to nurturing young hearts and minds will make a lasting impact on their journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans based on the Creative Curriculum framework.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where toddlers can enhance their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
  • Regularly assess and document children’s progress and development.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child’s experiences,
  • Lead and mentor assistant teachers and support staff within the classroom.
  • Introduce simple biblical concepts in a gentle and age-appropriate manner
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations regarding early childhood education.
  • Foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth through interactive play
  • Collaborate with parents to provide consistent care and communication

Qualifications:

  • Passion for Christian values and integrating them into teaching
  • A genuine love for working with young children and understanding of their developmental needs
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in early childhood education.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential required.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to create and follow DAP lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
